In January 2026, local newspaper The Courier kindly offered to pay for our print costs for the remainder of the academic year. Print costs are one of the biggest pressures on student-run papers, often dictating how many issues we can produce.
By taking this burden off our shoulders, The Courier has given us the freedom to focus on what matters most: telling stories, investigating issues, and giving students a platform.
In 1995, Dundee's student newspaper Annasach folded — and with it, student journalism at the University of Dundee went quiet.
Dundee has long been a city shaped by the power of the press. From DC Thomson's historic newspapers to the vibrant student journalism scene that once thrived on campus, Dundee has always been a home for bold reporting and fearless storytelling. We want to revive this legacy.
We plan to print each month. Each issue is 16 pages and we print 1,000 copies, distributed across campus and local businesses.
Since this is a free newspaper, printing costs are covered through advertising. By purchasing an advert, you are helping to keep student journalism alive.
Businesses have the option of a one-off advertisement, or continuous advertisements in each issue.
