Lauren Evans’s Fine Art project, titled ‘Daily Males’, focuses on violence against women and children by men.
The exhibition is made up of multiple different pieces of art that tie together to portray the final message. Evans said:
“Maybe we need to change our culture when reporting against these crimes that men commit against women and kids.”
Her exhibition is laid out to look like a newsagent with racks for newspapers and magazines, a counter with a receipt machine and a big Daily Males sign.
The main centrepiece is the newspapers and magazines that have headlines saying, “Men can’t have fun anymore?” and “Why aren’t women having our babies?”.
The newspapers satirically copy the language you would come across online in articles written by misogynistic men.
The words are often plagued by dismissive wording and attitudes. Language that often tries to dismiss the woman’s suffering or focus on the man’s achievements or job title.

Lauren is putting a light on a large problem that is often overlooked or dismissed.
“I’m trying to highlight the epidemic of violence against women and children by men in the UK.”
Lauren has had personal experiences of violence from men. She has a pinned post on her Instagram with a collage that says “All my abusers are British”.
This personal experience is reflected throughout the project. On the counter, the receipt machine has the names of all women killed by men since she started her art education in September 2021.
The names were collected through the Femicide Census and Karen Ingala Smith, however it isn’t a complete list as children’s deaths are not normally publicly recorded.
“The wording is wild, so that’s why I didn’t put any grammar in the newspapers and magazines.”
Lauren also made a website which displays headlines about male violence against women and children from September 2021 to September 2025, which is the entire time she was in art education until she began this project.
However, not all headlines could be included because there were simply too many.
She found there were 416 headlines, which is two a week, showing one woman is killed every three days.
“It’s hard to stomach sometimes, but I think you kind of have to do that in order to make any sort of change towards the culture’s opinions about these things.”
Lauren also spoke about the riots of 2024, one example being the Stockport riot where some went into the streets to “protect our women and children”.
The motive behind a lot of the riots was to get rid of immigrants who they accused of being violent towards women and children. In some cases there were calls to burn down the hotels that asylum seekers are kept in.
“Saying, like, oh, it’s all the immigrants that are hurting women, when actually in reality it’s not.”
Another part of the exhibition is the small rats that have Donald Trump and Nigel Farage’s faces on them.
This ties in with the overall theme as Donald Trump was found liable for sexual assault and has many mentions in the Epstein files.
Nigel Farage also publicly supported Reform UK MP James McMurdock who has been convicted for assaulting his ex-partner, Farage has also been seen alongside many other sexual assaulters and misogynist men such as Conor McGregor and Andrew Tate.

On the wall near the entrance there is a cork board which has flyers on ranging lots of different topics. One is a wanted poster for a “private chef, therapist, private nanny, housekeeper and personal assistant whilst looking fuckable 24/7” specifying that they must not be a feminist.
Another speaks of Lauren’s experience being assaulted in a nightclub when she was 18 when someone put their hand between her legs, saying the “saddest part was I was worried you would have felt my period pad when you assaulted me” it goes on to say “would love to see you again so I can avenge my younger self”.

The message in this art couldn’t be clearer. It is a message that I think everyone should hear, especially men.
Lauren has put together a strong message and it shows she is passionate about stopping male violence against women and children.
